We are proud to welcome Teledyne FLIR Defense to the RADS ecosystem as a RADS Application Partner. The partnership, signed at Eurosatory 2026, brings their Black Recon vehicle reconnaissance system to RADS.

Black Recon™ lets a crew launch, operate and recover up to three small reconnaissance drones from inside the vehicle, with electro-optical and thermal vision beyond line of sight. RADS standardises how it integrates, so Black Recon can be mounted, upgraded or moved between vehicles in minutes instead of through bespoke engineering.

Here is what makes RADS different: it is both a vehicle platform and a way to field the capability without a vehicle at all. Mounted, Black Recon turns a standard vehicle into a mobile launch and recovery platform. Lifted off, the same module operates as a standalone drone pod, deployed and run independently of the vehicle. It moves between vehicles, or off them entirely, in minutes, and the interface reaches beyond pickups to trailers and lighter platforms such as ATVs and UGVs.
